Time flies...

or not really...

haha..

I have been working for a mth now...

still learning new things as there are so many things to learn!

Learnt not to be too lazy and took out my cam for pics..

my two monster screen work desk!
see the number of post-its.. I still have a notebook containing all things I have to learn..

last monday and tuesday was the most tiring ever.. worked till 915pm..

super tired..

but managed to meet the deadlines! phew

It's the start of lower half year now!

hope everything goes smooth and continue as planned!

work has been busy and stress.

the environment is very fast paced and every month, I have to keep up with the deadlines.

luckily there are dinner / cab reimbursement IF i really have to work till late...

nowadays i seldom take pics already..

reason being?

LAZY.

mon-thurs work..

fri after work, i went home to change and out to redot @ dempsy to chill out with

bestie ngo and burps!

ah lew 'fly aeroplane' during the last minute as she need to send her dad off...

worst of all, she is the one who organized it. ha.

well, more meetings to come..

and yest went out with burps for midnight movie at vivo.

today is a lazingg day!

love staying at home.

Hello!

It's going to be mid week tmw! :)

anyways...

I've started working @ barcaps since last wednesday..

i know its weird that I starts on wednesday rather than a Monday..

but cos I am taking over a perm's duties and she is leaving this coming thursday..

so they need me to work and learn EVERYTHING from her before she leaves...

yeap..

so far things have been good.

training, training and training

a very big corporate..

finance department people are fun loving though..

got to know quite a few around my age..

first day of work and i shook hand with about 50 plus people..

omg.

but its great to know all once again.. and hope things goes well after I take over..

3rd day of my work, i already had meeting for my team. yest had one more again..

and my very first OT today!

luckily for the 'doremon' pantry..

i got to drink and eat titbits for free and unlimited... heh. awesome pantry

also,

had my induction yesterday and met alot of new staffs and interns!

new york uni, stanford, india institute of tech etc.

impressed.

i think i am thankful that i chose this job rather than great eastern..

though its a contract job and slightly lower paid than
GEFA
(great eastern financial advisory)

but i am happy that I got exposed to many things

plus its related to my degree..

my family were also happy for me

and

as for now,

i looked forward to work everyday though.

ahha.

last but not least,

Burps and I spent a quiet 3rd anniversary last friday though..

he supposed to take leave and we going to spend whole day out..

but who knows i start work so early..

and in e end,

we only met after work..

Looks like a small cut...

BUT it's freaking pain! :((

apparently the blood kept dripping when i went to my bro's room to help me dress my wound...

luckily he was a medic in NS...

and worst of all, I got hyperventilation that I thought I was going to die...

don't belittle this..

when u got it.. u will be so pale and cant even breathe...

went to ntu's doc the next day and no stitching was required but the nurse dressed my wound..

blood again..

and imagine with mense..

when comes to bathing..

omg.

btw..

i am still nuaing and eating at home..

work that side is still in the process...

PRE SCREENING is impt for companies but I feel its like wasting of time..

yeap.

went to mong's grandpa wake last week..

have met her grandpa during sec school days when I went to mong's hse..

he is a strong man and I think he had lived till a ripe age of 91 years old..

Sorry guys, all words and no pictures...

my mom took our cam to Thailand and that explains why..

Last sunday poly gathering pictures are still in Julan's camera and he yet to upload. so will upload when he has sent us! :)

Yest met up with mong and sarah after so long!

met mong first about 4 plus as sarah only end her work at 430pm.

so we went shopping and dinner at town...

plus some catching ups. yeap. :D

and i've been buying clothes again.. zara and f21.

ho seh liao.

but mainly working clothes..

anyway, I got the offer from the bank and had went down to raffles place to sign the contract in Tuesday..

glad that my 3 rounds of interviews paid off!

of course, my family were happy for me especially my dad..

burps also happy for me..

and he promised to buy working clothes for me if i got a job! haha.

yipee! thanku burpy!

though its a contract job, but it will be a good stepping stone for me in a big mnc bank.

hope that i will learn alot of things under the guidance of my team seniors. :)

will only be starting work later June..

So i still got time to relax and spend time with family before i turn into an 'OL'..

yeap.. hope for the best then! :)

It has been roller coaster week for me...

Loss of my Grandpa and Gained of interviews/jobs...

He has been the best grandpa ever. seriously.

my mom's still over there to tc of everything with uncles, aunts and cousins.

my bro could not attend cos he got a very impt interview the very week.

my dad had to work as he just came back from BKK that last 2 weeks.

as for me, i had two interviews and most importantly, i had to do all the hse work..

grandma from M came over to aid in cooking.

thanks to her as well...

mom called almost everyday regarding grandpa's condition at hospital and lastly, his funeral.

this made us so close to grandpa as well.

Life is really short and I do miss all the good times with him whenever I visit thailand.

as for my jobs interview,

I had a total 3 rounds of interviews with B bank and one round with GE.

and glad that I had offer from one of them and waiting for the other.

i think i gonna thank grandpa for blessing me.

plus FULL formal wear for interviews ( i wore three days of formal wears!)

really very tired.

and also thank dad,bro,grandma and pudding for sending me for my interviews.

hope that I won't disappoint all of you. :)

Everything happened so fast..

we just met you at BKK last August and just yesterday,

you are gone..

we know that you are a strong person,

but i know age has taken you this time..

Though chia seng and I are your grandson/daughter,

but we don't get to meet so often since young as we are staying in Singapore..

i remember everytime i visited you, I will cry when I leave..

I remember when I accidentally killed the chicks you reared, you were so angry..

i remember when i touch your head when you are slping, you chased me around the house..
(Thai men's head are known to be holy and except for elders, the younger ones cannot touch their head/hair)

I remember how you always smile and spoke to me in Thai despite I cant fully understand...

I remember how you always waited for us when we reached your house

I remember how happy you were when we visited you last year and you kept talking to me in the hotel room.

Though we did not spend alot of times together,

I will still always remember the little and touching things you did for us..

Because I had scheduled interviews and the house need a person to cook, clean and etc,

mom represented us and went back on Sunday..

Grandpa was still in ICU but he knows my mom went..

my mom told him about us and not to worry..

he was on oxygen and he wanted to die at home..

so they brought him home and he passed away in the morning.

Grandpa,
thank you for showering me the love all this while,

thank you for blessing us and you will always be in our heart forever...

Anyway, my scheduled interview is with two companies this week.

one is bank industry and the other is insurance company..

and i am being interview for finance/accounts position.

don't laugh cos it's my first official interview ever since I grad..

and this week marks the 2nd mth I have been looking for a job.

Yesterday bank interview was tedious because there were two rounds and it's consecutively non stop.

and today shld be the last round of interview for this bank.

will do my best once again. :)

Tmw interview is with this insurance company.. quite famous in Sing but definately not AIA.

since i have been given this opportunity and can improve my interview skills,

why not go for it in case the bank did not short list me right?

as i have say again, these two interviews might earn me a job..

BUT might ended up I got nothing and need to send resumes again.

I will just try my best and leave it to the management then. :)

The hardest thing in life...

is not to be able to adapt to something which you thought you have know it for so long...

I have my own respect, rights and dignity as well...

those harsh repetitive words to me have always been clinging on my mind all these while..

Yes, I have high tolerance/accomodate level..

but this time.. i really can't take it anymore and need time to heal it.

i was brought up in a traditional and family oriented surroundings,

and though I may not have much exposure or have the guts to do certain things,

but this is just me.

My 2nd Weekend in Singapore

Time really flies..

i am home about one week plus already..

Been spending this whole weekend with my family at ECP together with Pudding. :) Never take pics cos forgot to bring cam. Plus the super heavy rain.

Burps went to KL for work trip again since last sat till this coming wed.

seriously I don't like him going overseas for work. And cos of this, I am always feeling down and agitated easily whenever he is away.

but well, he is already there and I also don't wish to argue too much about this.

just upset.

The first day we got together , we knew our rs is going to be diff from others. And till today, it is STILL DIFFERENT...

Ups and many downs..

sometimes I am so tired over all issues that i feel like quitting

psychologically, emotionally, mentally...

i will eventually get tired one day.

Not that I don't love Burps anymore, just you know,

i hate the feelings of insecure, sensitivity and trust..

we shall see then..who knows what will happen in future. ..

maybe Burps change to another Boops? Boaps? Baboons?

Anyways,

I didn't waste all my weekdays lazing around..

of course, been sending resumes and CV daily?

full time job is not as easy as part time job when they call you the very next day after you submitted your resume.

i received calls for two interviews but it is not what I want. So i never went for it..

so again... another week of sending resumes again. ha.

hopefully I will get one job which i feel is suitable for me..... :):):)

my dad saw how frantic I was when looking for jobs,

he told me to slowly take my time la.. ha.

Also, except for going M last weekend and ecp this weekend, I have not been out to take trains or mrts.

Bad right? ha

I am really a homely person. its just me. :)

home is DAMN shiok.

when i work next time, it will be less time spending home. :(

Alright, back to blogging...

Last sat, my parents, bro and I attended our good family friend's son wedding at intercontinental hotel. It was a touching and warmth event seeing loving couples get together and sharing their bliss to everyone. Time really flies from the days we met as neighbors when we are staying at katong. :) Everyone is grown up now...AND the LYCHEE TEA at intercontinental is damn nice.. i drank like 3-4 glasses.. hee. so pls try!

the week after cny, 3's went to send Cyn off for her exchange to Utretcht, Netherlands...

Alright.. back to what I've wanted to say..

yes, I am going on a grad trip with bakbak...

we have booked the trip before cny and till everything is more or less confirm, I will then blog about it. hah.

So, we would be going on a 10 days tour trip with Five Stars Tour to Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium, Amsterdam and additional 9 days extension to visit Cyn at Netherlands. We would be going to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Hague, Utrecht,Roermond and etc when we are at netherlands.. Last but not least, we would also be flying from Amsterdam to London on 24th-26th for free and easy tour and then back to amsterdam again. alright.. FULL 19 days for us. haha.

Hope we'll enjoy ourself then! :D

Back to CNY,

I've booked both my mom and I a mani and pedicure session before CNY but my mom sure cooked and washed intensively over in M during CNY and the nail colors sure gone case..

so I postponed it maybe till march??

AND I DID my OWN POLKA DOTS NAILS. haha

Some of you all might have already seen it! And it's damn lasting.. nah.. not OPI colors or what.. I used Revlon Nail Color..

2 hrs for my hands and foots!

Yes Yes, we left Pudding ALONE at home during CNY cos we had bad experiences bringing him to boarding when we went BKK last year..

AND both my bro and I drove to and fro from M to S everyday for 5 days! (Wed- Sunday)

to check on him and feed him..

Luckily Pudding is obedient! ehhe

Hello! How have you all been?

I have been MIA from blog quite a 'nong nong' time!

mainly due to my audit exam again...

the kind of nervous to attempt the paper and waiting for the result is a KILLER!

especially there are so many things I've been wanting to do after my studies...

and this audit module is the last paper..

well well..

and I've passed/ cleared the paper!!!

hehe..

and now, i am finally a graduate!

I am super done with studies!!!

seriously..

i rather work!

hehee..

ok, and now, I am busy like siao at home and to M!

booking my grad trip as well.

and finidng jobs? I am still in a dilemma whether i should go into audit or banking accounting line..

oh ya.. i am going to the trip together with loraine aka bakbak who had completed her masters for holiday!

just confirmed and paid our deposit today!

thats why maybe we were shortlisted..

three days of challenges and attractive prizes!!

BUT..

Burps i think he got stage fright and 'pai seh' to go on stage and amazed the judges...

so sad..

but he promised the next time we got in again..he will go along with me!

it has not been a very rough year for me compared to 2009 as I have enjoyed my school, made a few new friends, gathering with old friends, got a new dog, dad's health is good, cleared all my papers EXCEPT this last auditing paper.

Nothing really change in 2010 though.

So i hope there are changes in 2011.

As its a New Year, everyone sure hope for a better/ good year to come.

That includes me as well for the past years.

but well,

this year end,

I will just hope for more changes in my life which I can learn and gain knowledge/ wisdom for this coming new year.

I don't ask for a really good year for me..

I just ask for the year to groom me into a young and wise lady..

It's really time to really grow up.

As for my relationship with Burps, there are still alot of hiccups which I feels.

no deny.

we have been together for 2.5 years now.

all I want for this coming year is we can improve on our trust and time on each other.

as you all know Burps is 12 years older than me,

I feel that I have alot to catch up.

12 years is more than a decade..

I can do ALOT of things for 12 years with Burps.

Sadly,

I could not attend his bachelor & masters graduation and be happy for him.

sadly, I could not spend his 20+ birthdays with him..

sadly, I could not share his joy and sadness over the 12 years...

sadly, I hope to turn back the time and know him when he is in his 20s.

well.. I guess life is just like this..

But be glad that we are healthy compared to those who happened to be sick and not well.

When you step into hospital, you will see those who are not feeling well..

I guess they don't pray for a good year.

but good health for them.

I always use life philosophies to weigh my priority in life...

hope whatever decision I made in 2011 would be a good one. :)

Seriously, this is my most tedious semester studying in Murdoch...

yest i spent almost 12 hrs in school doing project and presentation!

but well, the results was soo good that everyone said it was good!

We saw this bridal shop with beautiful and unique gowns comparable to Singapore..

Ended my last tuition with my Japanese Kid on Friday due to my upcoming busy schedule and unable to give my full focus and attention to her..

my workplace is rather weird.. but overall, i am fine working there..

1) One of my colleagues brought a dog everyday into the office and it seems like i am working in a pet shop instead of a hair products industry.. haa

2) There are no dress code in the office.. but no shorts allowed..

3) Free access to internet when boss is not around..

4) the office will be so quiet when it is after lunch time.

5) the paycheck is on a CASH basis!

haha.. a different company to me after i have worked temp for various firms..

4 hrs a day work is damn good..

kill my boredom as well..

but i hate the morning traffic!

I PASSED MY EXAMSSS!!!

YAY!!

The exam results were out on Thursday and Susan, my classmate sms-ed me while i was surfing

the com. I was damn nervous and was soooo worried i will flunk my papers! :(

Ever since my last paper, I have been praying to god that please let me pass my papers and i will

work very hard for the next semester..I prayed almost everyday and in bkk as well!

I cleared this semester!

and I passed the 'so called' killer TAX LAW paper!!

i am a company and tax law senior now.. ahhaha

and i even got a higher marks for my most demoralizing paper.. goodness!

my family decided to go to bangkok to visit him!

will be leaving this coming fri to tues!

was an impromptus trip as we only book all the stuffs one week in advance!

airtixs, hotel rooms, travel insurance and pet boarding for pudding all booked!

Pudding will be staying at Ohana Pet House for 5 days when we are away..

the transporting will come and pick Pudding up before our flight on friday noon..

will be missing him!

and

good for me to forget the post exams blues..

i am back. :)

Yeap, my exams ended.

ended in a tragic way..

no joke..

i could not focus very well this semester and everything seems to forget easily when i took all the exams.

nervous and helpless..

praying for help.

but nothing can help me.

it's me who is not focusing..

i don't know why..

so no matter what the results be..

we'll see then..

might have to retake..

well.

i need a break from the stress in Singapore.

Staying in Singapore is really
stressful..

There are 3 dental clinics around my neighborhood.

one of them is my usual dental clinic..

however, it was closed for renovation..:(

So, i went to the 2nd one.. the receptionist told me to wait for 45 minutes.. but i waited for 1 hr.

Then she told me to wait and wait again..

hello?! my tooth is damn pain already...

can't u let me see first ??

sigh..

ya.. my tooth was so pain till i woke up about 5am and could not sleep.

So, i could not wait as I don't want to waste time in the clinic and i have to study for my exams as well.. :(

so i went to the 3rd clinic..

Result: Another root canal treatment and this dental clinic charge a whopping 400 bucks for a root canal!!!

my personal dental clinic only charged 200! that's 200 more!

SIAO.

so while waiting for my dentist to be back next wed, i took the medicine this expensive clinic gave me.. 60 bucks for just a mere 3 mins consultation.. :(

i miss my dentist.. sighh..

so now i have to swallow 8 diff pills for my tooth.

if anything happens to me liver, i am going to sue this clinic!!

sighh...

everytime!!

before my exams, sure got something holding me up..

argh!

Been Busy like a Bee!

went to burps hse and car wash day with him as usual..

first time i drove ALONE without my dad or bro or any guys in the car!

Post- Anniversary High Tea Session with Burps over at H.

Then Burps dropped me at vivo and i met mong to attend Sarah's Farewell party at Capella Villa, Sentosa

taking 3 times of buggy rides..
like the ones i took when i was in phuket. haha
